In late August of 2001, I was downsized from the computer industry after a 20 plus year career. A few weeks later was 09/11/01 and then the economic downturn that we all experienced. Since it was obvious that I wouldn’t be going back into the computer business any time soon, I turned my hobby into a business. I have been providing Handyman services to the Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake area of DFW on a referral basis full time since January 2002.

How handy am I? Anything you need done around the house I can take care of for you. I've built custom fireplace mantles, installed recessed lighting, repaired drywall, installed laminate flooring, painted, etc...

    I'm Doug Faries, The Handyman. I'm one of those guys whose father did everything himself. Needless to say, he taught me the same skills that he possessed. I have always taken care of my own house as well as homes owned by friends and family. I did all of this on weekends and evenings and as a friend.
